Hello Dave. How are you today? What's New So What's New? It's 2001! When I was a kid I grew up in the era of Atomic Bomb drills in Catholic grammar school. You know the drill. You run down in the basement of the old brick schoolhouse, hide under flimsy banquet tables and put head between your knees and cover your ears - like that will save you from a ten megaton nuclear blast. Boy were we naive. I was thinking at the time I would never see the year 2001 because we would blow up the earth with a hailstorm of Atomic bombs. But nope, it didn't happen... yet anyway. Let us pray it doesn't. So anyway, here we are, still going strong... and they have million megaton Atomic bombs all over the place and nobody does those goofy drills anymore. Go figure. So... before they cut loose with the end of the world, I would like to thank all the Goonans all over the planet for all the support and encouragement you have given us in the website project. It has been a slice. I am really thrilled at all Goonans who have posted guest book entries and written to us. Thanks. I will be posting our PAF genealogy data files sometime this month for sure I hope. I am learning the html conversion program's finer points as we speak. It shouldn't be too difficult. Ain't that what Dave said? Not a whole lot has been happening here. Only the things that get in the way of living, like work, domestic chores, and shoveling copious amounts of snow. And, to add to that mess I am starting back at school on January 8th to finish my degree in Criminal Justice. The good thing about that is I'll be learning why I've been doing what I've been doing at work for the last 13 years. Doh! That makes a lot of sense, huh? I started a new guest book log for 2001 and archived the one for 2000. There is a link on the page to read the old one. And remember this tip: In case of a nuclear attack and you see a really big flash, run, duck and cover. Put your head between your knees, cover your ears, and kiss your ass goodbye. It's Wednesday, January 3rd, 2001, and that's the way it is. Daisy, Dai-s-y, D...a...i...s...~*^%#$&^%*+++& |
